Operation BREACH POINT

Operation Meridian places players inside a counterintelligence investigation unfolding around the Blair corridor, home to major Canadian intelligence activity. A surge of abnormal digital traffic has been flagged by CSE, and CSIS suspects that a human source may be leaking information through both physical signals and online activity.

Participants collect virtual fragments located in safe public areas. Each fragment represents a digital anomaly or an intelligence cue detected by CSE analysts. Players are then directed to examine a fictional Facebook and Instagram account created by the suspected insider. The accounts contain coded posts, image clues, and irregular communication patterns that model real SOCMINT investigations.

As players combine SIGINT fragments with social media clues, they identify the insider’s method of communication and assess whether the threat is credible. The mission teaches the fundamentals of SIGINT, human-source handling, insider-threat detection, and how Canadian agencies coordinate without overlapping mandates.
